What do I need to know about booking boudoir?

Now this is a subject we could go on and on about but there are some main reasons that people typically book boudoir, whether it's to celebrate their body, as a gift for a loved one, or to start a modelling portfolio all reasons are absolutely valid. We only have one body and celebrating it is a beautiful thing! Below we're going to list some things to consider when booking a boudoir shoot. Picking your Photographer You want to make sure the photographer you pick when you are booking a boudoir photoshoot is not only someone whose work you enjoy but someone you truly get along with. The vibe needs to be right! It's super important that you feel respected and comfortable. Finding a photographer that you can create not only beautiful images with but an awesome experience with overall is absolutely mandatory! Location Now boudoir can be shot anywhere if you are brave enough! From the great outdoors to in home or a professional studio, we do truly offer plenty of options for shooting. When you are thinking of locations you want to take your personality into account. Are you outdoorsy and want to show that side of you off? Do you want the personal touch of being at home in your own bed? Seeing your own furniture in the shoot? Do you want a more lavish day with a professional studio? All of these are great options and during your consultation we do go over what options would suit your individual personality the best. Outfits We have a whole post about this, so we are only going to go over the basics here, but you want to pack a minimum of 4 outfits. This can be anything that makes you feel sexy. From the little black dress look, to a matching lingerie set there is no limit on what makes you feel your best. Keep the details in mind! Stockings or fishnets, heels, and a pencil skirt and button down blouse with lingerie underneath is always a crowd pleaser. Your comfort level is what matters most, so pick things you're going to feel confident in. Your To-Go bag Packing your to go bag is super important you want to make sure you are prepared for your day. Things to consider bringing: Snacks, Water, outfit changes, shoes, make up touch up kit, hair ties, comb, portable phone charger, deodorant, emergency kit (small sewing kit, Band-Aids, Tylenol or Advil etc) post shoot outfit, you're going to want comfy clothes to change into. Don't worry about the size of your bag, most people bring a small duffle bag with them just to make sure they have everything they need!
